Job Overview

Cognizant is hiring a Software Engineer for its Technology and Engineering team in Chennai. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals with 4 to 5 years of experience in enterprise Java development. You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Oracle, PL/SQL, REST APIs, and microservices while working in an Agile environment supporting insurance technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise applications using Java and Spring technologies.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop backend services using Node.js.
• Create and optimize Oracle PL/SQL database components.
• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.

• Prepare technical documentation and deployment support.
