Preferred Skills

Experience designing and operating highly scalable, reliable, distributed services is preferred. Candidates with practical Azure Cloud Services experience will be well aligned with the technical environment.

Knowledge of Big Data Systems is also desirable, especially for engineers who have worked with services processing substantial operational or business data.

Experience creating effective engineering cultures, developing senior engineers, aligning teams around technical priorities, and working across geographical boundaries can further strengthen an application.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required, together with the specified technical engineering experience. Equivalent practical experience may also qualify.

Experience

The role requires a minimum of 6 years of technical engineering experience with coding exposure. Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience building microservices-based applications and 5 years of experience managing software engineering teams.

The position is intended for an experienced engineering leader who can combine technical depth with people management. Experience with large-scale distributed services, cloud platforms, and engineering organizations is particularly relevant.

Soft Skills

Strong communication, collaboration, planning, and people leadership skills are essential. The engineering manager should communicate technical concepts clearly, align teams around common goals, and work effectively with product and engineering partners across locations.
