Role Overview

Job Overview

YASH Technologies is hiring a Tech Lead - Data Warehouse in Bangalore, Karnataka, for a senior data architecture and engineering position focused on building next-generation enterprise data platforms. The role requires deep experience across data warehousing, Big Data, enterprise integration, real-time data movement, cloud data platforms, data governance, and architecture leadership.

The successful candidate will work on complex technology initiatives where business requirements must be translated into scalable and secure data solutions. This position combines hands-on technical depth with architecture ownership and leadership across medium to large-scale projects. The role also involves working with business analysts, data engineers, stakeholders, and end users to ensure that data platforms are reliable, interoperable, performant, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and design of enterprise data platforms and integrations serving multiple business functions.
  • Define data architecture strategies that align technical direction with business goals and future platform requirements.
  • Design near real-time data movement solutions that support enterprise data and integration needs.
  • Create current-state, planned-state, and future-state architecture blueprints and contribute to technology roadmaps.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data solutions.
  • Guide the development of scalable data models that support performance, integration, and long-term platform growth.
  • Establish data governance practices, standards, security controls, and compliance requirements for enterprise data.
  • Design secure approaches for protecting data at rest and in transit, including access control and encryption.
  • Architect data integration solutions that connect applications, APIs, databases, data warehouses, and other enterprise systems.
  • Work with engineers and stakeholders on development, debugging, integrated testing, and customer acceptance testing.
  • Provide technical oversight for complex development assignments and architectural assessments.
  • Identify difficult technical problems and select suitable architecture approaches from available enterprise solutions.
  • Maintain high software quality standards by promoting engineering practices and security guardrails.
  • Provide technical leadership on strategic medium to large-scale initiatives.

Required Skills

This role requires strong expertise in Data Warehousing and enterprise data architecture. Candidates should be capable of designing scalable data models and optimizing database performance, including indexing and storage strategies.

A strong understanding of data pipelines and Big Data architectures is essential. Experience designing cloud-based data platforms for large-scale processing is particularly relevant, including AWS and Azure environments.

Candidates should understand both traditional and modern data architectures, including OLTP, OLAP, Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, real-time pipelines, message brokers, and enterprise integration patterns. Strong SQL and NoSQL knowledge is expected.

Security is a major part of the position. Candidates should be experienced in designing controls for data at rest and in transit, access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.

Preferred Skills

The posting identifies Snowflake as a preferred technology for large Data Lake and Data Warehouse implementations. Experience with Python as an object-oriented programming language is also valuable.

Additional relevant experience includes designing and operating large-scale cloud data platforms, implementing near real-time data pipelines, working with message brokers, and using AWS services for data movement and application integration.

Knowledge of Test Driven Development and Behaviour Driven Development is beneficial. Candidates with an understanding of current AI developments, including Generative AI, MCP, and ATA, may also align well with the evolving technology requirements described in the role.

Education

A four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.

Experience

The position requires 12 or more years of software development experience or at least three years of architecture experience supported by strong demonstrable technical experience. In addition, the role calls for at least five years of experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models and at least five years of Data Warehousing experience, including database performance optimization, indexing, and storage strategies.

The role is intended for a senior technology professional who can provide architectural direction, solve complex problems independently, and demonstrate leadership on strategic projects.
