Key Responsibilities

• Work with engineering peers to complete development tasks and deliver software that supports customer needs.
• Design, code, test, and instrument new software solutions while applying established engineering practices.
• Monitor operational and quality metrics and identify opportunities to improve service performance and system health.
• Analyze existing systems and processes to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Support engineering teams during detailed investigations and rapid incident-response activities.
• Learn new technologies and share relevant findings with teammates to support knowledge development and adoption.
• Apply team processes and engineering best practices to assigned work while providing feedback that can improve team performance.
• Use AI-powered development capabilities, including code-completion and refactoring assistance, to improve development efficiency while maintaining code quality.
• Contribute to engineering practices based on Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), microservice architecture, and Vertical Slice Architecture.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites to improve regression coverage, reliability, and testing efficiency.
• Analyze automated test results, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with engineers to resolve defects and test-automation issues.
• Expand automated coverage for UI, API, and integration testing while following established automation practices.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• At least 3 months of work experience in software engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Interest in modern technologies and software design.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of C# and Python as identified in the technology requirements.
• Understanding of automated testing and test-automation practices.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and software design principles.
• Familiarity with version-control and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to integrate AI/ML-driven development workflows into the software development lifecycle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience or willingness to learn cloud and infrastructure technologies including Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Helm, Argo CD, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design, GraphQL, and Kafka or event-driven design.
• Exposure to relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with modern web UI frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Experience with Selenium or similar UI automation frameworks, API automation, regression testing, and test-framework development.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.

Education

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, unless the candidate demonstrates equivalent experience.
