Salesforce Hiring Senior SPARK Engineer in Hyderabad
Role Overview
Job Overview
Salesforce is hiring an experienced software engineering professional for a Senior SPARK Engineer role within the Salesforce Industries Cloud team in Hyderabad. This is a highly technical position focused on architecture assessment, scalability, application performance, reliability, and production readiness for complex enterprise Salesforce implementations.
The role combines solution architecture judgment with hands-on performance engineering. You will examine application architecture, Salesforce configuration, custom development, data models, integrations, APIs, transaction flows, and non-functional requirements to identify technical risks before they affect production systems. The position is particularly suited to professionals who enjoy investigating difficult engineering problems, working with large-scale enterprise platforms, and turning technical evidence into practical recommendations.
This is primarily a technical advisory and engineering role. It is not centered on routine delivery ownership, presales, or account management. Collaboration will involve Salesforce engineering, product, Customer Success, architects, and implementation teams, with customer interaction generally focused on technical discovery, design reviews, and findings discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, scalability, and performance reviews for complex Salesforce Industries Cloud solutions.
- Examine Salesforce configurations, custom applications, Apex code, Industries Cloud components, data models, integrations, APIs, asynchronous processing, and security boundaries.
- Investigate important transaction paths to identify risks related to latency, throughput, concurrency, resource usage, reliability, and data integrity.
- Assess Salesforce platform constraints such as governor limits, CPU and heap consumption, SOQL selectivity, DML patterns, record locking, data skew, payload limits, and large-data-volume behavior.
- Convert expected business volumes and future growth into realistic workload models covering transaction rates, concurrency, data size, retention, batch activity, and peak usage.
- Define measurable performance budgets, acceptance criteria, and production-readiness indicators based on non-functional requirements.
- Review source code, queries, logs, traces, profiling information, and runtime telemetry to locate bottlenecks across application, integration, data, user-interface, and platform layers.
- Recommend engineering improvements involving bulkification, query optimization, indexing, caching, asynchronous processing, transaction decomposition, data lifecycle management, and resilient integrations.
- Evaluate retry behavior, idempotency, rollback, partial failures, race conditions, record locking, observability, and recovery strategies.
- Prepare architecture findings, performance reports, risk assessments, implementation gates, and prioritized remediation plans supported by measurable evidence.
- Work with engineering and implementation teams to validate findings and drive important issues through resolution.
- Develop reusable engineering patterns, assessment approaches, automation, and technical guidance for Salesforce Industries Cloud teams.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for design analysis, investigation, documentation, and repeatable engineering activities.
Required Skills
The position requires deep experience with the Salesforce platform and large-scale enterprise software systems. Candidates should have strong practical knowledge of Apex, SOQL, DML, asynchronous Apex, APIs, integration patterns, data modeling, and Salesforce governor limits.
A strong understanding of application performance is essential. You should be comfortable analyzing latency, throughput, concurrency, CPU consumption, memory behavior, database utilization, network activity, and error rates. The ability to use logs, traces, profiling information, query plans, and system metrics to separate actual performance problems from assumptions is particularly important.
Experience with architecture review is also required. You should be able to evaluate technical designs, process flows, sequence diagrams, API contracts, user stories, and functional or technical specifications, then identify gaps between the current solution and the required target state.
The role also calls for development and debugging capability in Apex and at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java or Python.

Experience
The job requires 10 or more years of relevant professional experience across software engineering, Salesforce architecture, technical consulting, and performance validation. Candidates should have repeated experience working with large-scale enterprise systems and strong hands-on exposure to reviewing or troubleshooting Salesforce-based solutions.
Experience with Salesforce Industries Cloud or comparable industry-focused enterprise applications is important. Familiarity with areas such as Financial Services, Health and Life Sciences, Communications, Media, Energy and Utilities, Public Sector, Insurance, or Loyalty Management can be valuable where applicable.
Candidates should also have experience creating realistic performance or workload models, designing performance tests or automation, and detecting regressions before production. Exposure to high-volume APIs, batch workloads, event-driven systems, mobile or browser performance, and multi-system integration flows is useful.
Education
The provided job description does not specify a mandatory academic degree. The primary qualification is relevant professional experience combined with strong technical expertise in Salesforce architecture, software engineering, performance analysis, and enterprise systems.
Preferred Skills
Technical advisory or consulting experience is preferred, especially in high-scale or regulated environments. Salesforce certifications or accreditations related to architecture, development, or Industries Cloud can strengthen a candidate's profile.
Experience with large-data-volume architectures, query selectivity, indexing, transaction boundaries, locking, and decisions between synchronous and asynchronous processing is highly relevant. Candidates who have worked with complex API ecosystems, event-driven architectures, distributed applications, and performance automation may also be well suited.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical thinking is central to this role. The successful candidate should be able to investigate complex problems methodically, distinguish measured facts from assumptions, quantify technical risk, and communicate clear recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication is required because findings may need to be explained to architects, developers, product teams, Customer Success groups, and program stakeholders. The ability to simplify complex engineering concepts without losing technical accuracy is valuable.
Independence and collaboration are equally important. The role involves multiple workstreams and geographically distributed teams, so candidates should be comfortable managing priorities independently while maintaining effective communication with colleagues across functions.
Benefits of Working in this Role
This role offers exposure to large-scale Salesforce Industries Cloud implementations and complex enterprise engineering challenges. Professionals can deepen their expertise in performance engineering, solution architecture, distributed systems, data-intensive workloads, integration design, and Salesforce platform engineering.
The position also provides an opportunity to contribute reusable engineering practices and technical guidance that can improve how complex implementations are assessed and prepared for production.
Work Mode
The provided job description does not explicitly state a regular onsite, hybrid, or remote work arrangement. The role is based in Hyderabad, and customer interaction is described as targeted technical engagement rather than continuous onsite customer work.
Location
This Salesforce Software Engineering opportunity is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
Who Should Apply
This opportunity is best suited to experienced Salesforce engineers, Salesforce architects, performance engineers, technical consultants, and senior software engineering professionals with 10 or more years of relevant experience.
Professionals who enjoy diagnosing performance bottlenecks, reviewing enterprise architecture, working with Salesforce Industries Cloud, analyzing large data volumes, and improving system reliability should consider this role. Candidates should be comfortable moving between architecture-level discussions and hands-on technical investigation.
Career Growth
The role can support continued growth toward senior architecture, performance engineering, technical advisory, enterprise solution architecture, Salesforce Industries architecture, and engineering leadership positions. Building expertise across architecture, performance, distributed systems, and Salesforce platform constraints can also broaden opportunities in large-scale enterprise technology environments.
Application Advice
Your resume should clearly demonstrate more than general Salesforce experience. Highlight hands-on work with Apex, SOQL, DML, APIs, data models, integrations, asynchronous processing, and Salesforce governor limits.
Include examples where you identified and resolved performance or scalability problems. Where possible, describe the evidence used, such as logs, traces, profiling data, query plans, or system metrics, and explain the engineering improvement that followed.
Also emphasize experience with Salesforce Industries Cloud, large-data-volume systems, workload modeling, performance testing, architecture reviews, and enterprise integrations. Mention relevant Salesforce certifications, technical consulting experience, or work in regulated industries if applicable.
