- Support budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis for technology-related spending.
- Monitor FinOps indicators and provide analytical recommendations to improve cost visibility and control.
- Work with Finance and other departments to strengthen transparency around technology costs.
- Build Power BI dashboards and reports that turn business and financial requirements into useful insights.
- Develop semantic models, DAX measures, Power Query solutions, and data visualizations while maintaining reporting accuracy and performance.
- Create SQL queries, datasets, and data models for large-scale data analysis.
- Validate, reconcile, and integrate information from cloud, financial, operational, and licensing systems.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to support strategic planning and business decisions.
- Identify unusual patterns, trends, and potential opportunities through structured data analysis.
- Support automated data ingestion and integration initiatives in partnership with engineering teams.
- Improve reporting processes and encourage self-service analytics through governed dashboards.
- Document requirements, data definitions, processes, and procedures.
- Contribute to chargeback, showback, governance, and related FinOps initiatives.
Required Skills
The role requires advanced Power BI capability, including semantic modeling, DAX measures, Power Query, dashboard development, data visualization, reporting accuracy, and performance considerations.
