Job Overview Red Hat is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the CoreOS engineering team in Bangalore. This hybrid full-time role focuses on building and improving CoreOS automation pipelines, Image Mode (bootc), container image delivery, and CI/CD workflows. You will contribute as a senior individual contributor, designing high-quality software solutions while collaborating with distributed engineering teams and the open-source community. The position offers the opportunity to work on Linux platforms, cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes ecosystems, and modern software delivery pipelines. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain CoreOS pipeline components and Image Mode solutions. - Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Tekton, GitHub Actions, and container image automation. - Improve engineering productivity by implementing AI-powered automation workflows and agent-based solutions. - Write maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code while ensuring software quality. - Develop automated testing strategies and resolve defects efficiently. - Participate in architecture discussions, peer code reviews, and software lifecycle improvements. - Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and upstream open-source communities including Fedora, Fedora CoreOS, OKD, and Kubernetes. - Contribute documentation and continuously improve engineering workflows.
