Qualcomm India Private Limited is hiring an Engineer - RF SW - ECE in Hyderabad for its Software Engineering organization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate software for Qualcomm Modem-RF wireless chipsets.
• Develop drivers for Modem-RF transceivers in collaboration with RF hardware, modem and baseband, and RF ASIC teams.
• Create, develop, and optimize Modem, RF transceiver, antenna, and RF front-end algorithms and software modules.
• Contribute to improvements in system performance, factory yields, and RF testability.
• Support investigations of complex RF and modem issues in cross-functional hardware and software environments.
• Work with physical layer teams to deliver new features and support modem performance objectives.
• Collaborate with RF and modem systems, hardware, and test engineering teams during product development cycles.
• Use C and/or C++ programming and debugging skills in embedded real-time software environments.
• Apply software engineering concepts while developing and debugging embedded software.
• Work with hardware and RF test equipment such as protocol test equipment, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

Required Skills

• Strong C programming skills and understanding of RF and communications systems.
• Knowledge of digital communications and RF theory.
• Understanding of wireless communication systems and radio architecture.
• Knowledge of C++ and software programming and debugging in embedded real-time operating system environments.
• Good understanding of software engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of wireless communications and relevant radio access technologies.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of embedded real-time systems.
• Knowledge of LTE or 5G wireless systems.
• Experience or knowledge of modem and communications device driver development.
• Working knowledge of hardware and RF test equipment.
• Knowledge of radio access technologies such as LTE and 5G NR.
• Background in communication theory and Modem-RF software.

Education
