Job Overview
Kyndryl is hiring for a Dynatrace Architect role in Bangalore with a partially remote work arrangement. The position focuses on architecting data infrastructure and pipelines that support AI-driven systems, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector retrieval, semantic data layers, and reliable data engineering workflows.
The role combines data engineering, cloud modernization, data quality, and software engineering practices. The successful candidate will work with complex enterprise data and help create dependable infrastructure for AI and agentic reasoning use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and scale data pipelines supporting Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and transform large volumes of unstructured IT logs and documentation into optimized vector embeddings.
- Support the performance and reliability of vector database infrastructure using platforms such as Pinecone, Milvus, and Weaviate.
- Build semantic layers and knowledge-oriented data structures that provide useful context for AI agents working with complex infrastructure data.
- Develop automated data-quality controls to identify noise, bias, and personally identifiable information before data reaches AI models.
- Investigate data-quality issues at their source and connect raw enterprise data with downstream AI engineering requirements.
- Build, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure so that data context remains reliable and current.
- Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in data mining, data storage, and Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes.
- Experience developing data pipelines and using related tooling such as Databricks, Synapse, Glue, or Dataproc.
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DB2.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in data engineering and/or cloud modernization.
- Knowledge of data modelling and the creation of conceptual models showing how data connects and supports business processes.
- Professional certification related to data engineering, such as an Open Certified Technical Specialist with Data Engineering Specialization.
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Elastic Certified Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
- Understanding of social coding and integrated development environments, including GitHub and Visual Studio.
Education
A degree in a scientific discipline such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology is preferred.
Technologies
