Job Overview

Infineon is hiring a Specialist Technical Writer for its Bangalore MG workplace. This is a permanent, onsite professional role within the Marketing job family. The position focuses on creating and maintaining customer-facing technical documentation that explains complex engineering information in a clear, accurate, and accessible way.

The writer will work closely with engineering subject matter experts and business stakeholders to prepare publication-ready content. The work includes producing technical materials, following established workflows, and maintaining quality and consistency throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update technical customer documents, including datasheets, user manuals, application notes, process guidelines, and customer instructions.
• Work with engineering subject matter experts to turn technical source material into clear, accurate, professional documentation.
• Prepare content using established templates, documentation standards, and workflows.
• Check documents for quality, consistent formatting, linguistic accuracy, and readiness for publication.
• Apply and maintain terminology, style guides, documentation standards, and structured authoring practices.
• Support technical document reviews, approvals, publication, and ongoing maintenance across the product lifecycle.
• Identify unclear or missing content, inconsistencies, and departures from the applicable documentation standards, and flag them for resolution.
• Coordinate with engineering and business stakeholders to support timely delivery of documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Professional education in technical communication, or a degree in engineering, computer science, natural sciences, or a similar field.
• Previous experience in technical writing, technical communication, or documentation activities.
• A structured, precise, and quality-focused approach to work.
• Ability to understand complex technical information and communicate it clearly and effectively.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work with engineers and other stakeholders in an international environment.
• Familiarity with documentation tools, content management systems, or structured authoring methods.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-oriented mindset.
• Very high professional proficiency in written and spoken English. Additional languages are an advantage.

Preferred Knowledge

• Experience with XML-based authoring environments; DITA XML is specifically noted as a plus.
• Knowledge of AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs), and AI-assisted content creation tools.
• Interest in digitalization, automation, and modern documentation technologies.

Documentation and Collaboration

The role combines technical understanding with structured information management and clear communication. The writer is expected to partner with subject matter experts, use approved templates and workflows, and help ensure that content meets required standards before it is released to customers.

Attention to detail is important when reviewing terminology, consistency, formatting, and language. The position also involves recognizing when source information is incomplete or inconsistent and bringing those issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
