Job Overview

CGI is seeking an experienced Java Cloud Developer to join its Software Development and Engineering team. This full-time hybrid opportunity is primarily based in Chennai. The role focuses on building secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud-native Java applications using modern frameworks, container platforms, and microservices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade software while following Agile and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
• Build cloud-native microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop efficient algorithms and scalable application components.
• Design REST APIs and support event-driven architectures.
• Deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Integrate applications with enterprise and legacy backend systems.
• Troubleshoot defects, improve application performance, and enhance reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Work closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
• Follow DevOps and Agile development practices.
• Stay updated with emerging Java and cloud technologies.
