Job Overview Birlasoft is hiring a Technical Specialist - App Development with expertise in Site Reliability Engineering, observability, monitoring, and automation for its Hyderabad office. This full-time onsite role focuses on improving application reliability, implementing proactive monitoring, automating operational activities, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance system stability and performance. The successful candidate will work with modern observability platforms, infrastructure automation tools, AIOps technologies, and cloud-native environments while supporting incident response and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain monitoring and observability solutions. - Configure alerts, dashboards, and scheduled reports. - Implement Application Performance Monitoring using New Relic or Dynatrace. - Perform log analysis with Splunk. - Track SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets. - Automate operational tasks using Python and Bash. - Support incident management, debugging, and release reliability. - Manage infrastructure using Chef, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Kubernetes. - Mentor L1 and L2 support teams and document operational procedures. Required Skills Strong knowledge of observability, APM, monitoring, automation, infrastructure management, incident response, capacity planning, distributed tracing, metrics collection, and collaboration with development teams. Preferred Skills Experience with GenAI, Agentic AI frameworks, AIOps, ITSM, Change Management, Incident Management, PagerDuty, and cloud-native operations. Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
