Amazon Dev Center India is hiring a Transportation Specialist, NetWatch Flow, for its EU Transportation team in Hyderabad. The team works to help packages reach customers across the European Union on time while balancing delivery speed and cost. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external partners, including carriers, vendors, and suppliers, as well as internal teams such as Retail, Finance, Software Support, and Fulfillment Centers.
• Research operational issues using internal tools and available information, then take real-time decisions to support timely resolution.
• Retrieve and analyze data from databases and other management systems. Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis when business needs arise.
• Develop or interpret performance metrics and use them to help track results against business goals.
• Understand operational trends and assess their potential impact on customers and business continuity.
• Identify variances or problems in information and data, escalate them to the appropriate owners, and follow up to help ensure resolutions are completed.
• Gather and clarify business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams that develop and improve the software systems and tools used by ROC.
• Work within time-sensitive operating constraints while measuring and identifying activities performed.
• Prepare written narratives describing weekly findings and differences from goals, and present those findings in review forums as required.
• Look for opportunities to improve processes and help drive appropriate improvements through to completion.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using SQL.
• Ability to analyze information, recognize trends, and make reasoned decisions based on available data.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and explain operational findings.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to critical business needs in a continuous operating environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in spoken, written, and read English.
• Basic understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
• Experience with tools such as Microsoft Access or other data management systems may be useful for the data retrieval and reporting activities described for the role.
