Key Responsibilities

• Optimize data models to help maintain a reliable and performant Single Source of Truth.
• Work with stakeholders across gTech and Customer Engagement to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Business Analysts to move analytical prototypes, metrics, and models into production-grade reporting environments.
• Promote data quality through clear technical design documentation and code reviews.
• Investigate and resolve complex bugs and support escalations.
• Manage complex, large-scale data infrastructure issues using Google's proprietary technology stack.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with data processing software and algorithms.
• Experience with data processing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Pig, or Hive.
• Experience with algorithms or distributed data processing technologies such as MapReduce or Flume.
• Experience managing client-facing projects and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Experience working with Engineering and Sales Services teams.
• Experience with database administration techniques or data engineering.
• Software development experience using Java, C++, Python, Go, or JavaScript.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree or another advanced degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with technical consulting and data warehouses, including warehouse architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT, and reporting or analytics environments.
• Experience with Big Data, information retrieval, data mining, or machine learning.
• Experience building multi-tier, high-availability applications with modern web technologies.
• Experience with NoSQL, MongoDB, SparkML, or TensorFlow.
• Experience in customer-facing or customer service roles.
• Experience using AI technologies to augment, improve, or automate development processes.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required. The preferred qualifications also mention a Master's degree or another advanced degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
