Job Overview

Amazon is hiring a Data Engineer II for the International Seller Services (ISS) Central Science and Analytics team in Karnataka. This full-time opportunity is ideal for experienced data engineers who enjoy building scalable data platforms, analytics infrastructure, and machine learning data pipelines. You will work closely with data scientists, applied scientists, economists, and software engineers to create reliable data ecosystems that support AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data architectures for analytics.
• Develop and maintain ETL and ELT pipelines.
• Implement high-performance data ingestion processes.
• Build reliable data models and warehouse solutions.
• Integrate AWS data services into enterprise data platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and engineering practices.
• Optimize existing data solutions for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Maintain documentation, testing, and operational excellence standards.

Required Skills

Strong experience with SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, ETL pipelines, cloud data engineering, and scalable analytics platforms.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis, Firehose, AWS Lambda, IAM, Airflow, Step Functions, orchestration frameworks, and non-relational databases.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

Candidates should have at least 3 years of data engineering experience and 4 years of SQL experience.
