Key Responsibilities

• Build and integrate applications powered by large language models, AI agents, and intelligent workflows.
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, including document processing, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, reranking, and context engineering.
• Work with foundation models, prompt engineering, structured outputs, function and tool calling, and agent-based workflows.
• Create data pipelines and preprocessing workflows that support model training and inference.
• Experiment with LLMs, embedding models, retrieval approaches, and different AI system architectures.
• Build prototypes quickly and help evolve successful experiments into production-ready solutions.
• Implement evaluation methods to assess application accuracy, relevance, hallucination, latency, and cost.
• Connect AI capabilities with APIs, databases, enterprise applications, and backend services.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and AI researchers to solve practical enterprise problems.
• Track emerging Generative AI technologies and assess where they may be useful in Zycus products.

Required Skills

• Strong programming ability in Python.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Foundational knowledge of machine learning and deep learning.
• Hands-on exposure to Generative AI and large language models.
• Understanding of natural language processing and Transformer architectures.
• Experience using LLM APIs, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or comparable services.
• Knowledge of data handling with tools such as NumPy and Pandas.
• Good understanding of Git and GitHub.
• Strong fundamentals in computer science and mathematics, supported by good academic performance.

Preferred Technical Experience

The following capabilities are described as beneficial rather than mandatory. Candidates may have gained this experience through coursework, personal projects, internships, research, or open-source work.

• Practical exposure to RAG systems and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with vector databases, including FAISS, Chroma, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Milvus.
• Exposure to AI agents, function calling, tool use, MCP, or agentic workflows.
• Familiarity with model fine-tuning, PEFT/LoRA, or open-source language models.
• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of SQL and databases, along with exposure to Docker, cloud platforms, APIs, or microservices.

Education and Graduation Requirements

Applicants should have completed a B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, or M.Sc. in 2026. Preferred specializations include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, AI and ML, Data Science, and Computer Science with an AI/ML specialization.

Internship and Project Experience
