Job Overview
KLA is hiring an Associate Software Engineer in Chennai to contribute to software development for advanced semiconductor inspection, metrology, and analytics systems. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to deliver software components, troubleshoot issues, manage deployments, and support software quality.
The position is part of KLA's Semiconductor Products and Customers business unit and the LS-SWIFT division, which develops high-throughput patterned wafer inspection systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement project goals, requirements, and deliverables within defined timelines.
- Develop software for deploying different software components across multiple nodes and managing multiple parallel instances.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and software engineering best practices.
- Contribute to existing documentation and knowledge bases that help stakeholders resolve technical queries efficiently.
- Triage software issues, track defects, debug problems, identify root causes, and resolve issues with appropriate turnaround.
- Proactively identify technical challenges and risks and work toward mitigation.
- Perform code reviews and provide useful, actionable feedback to improve software quality.
Education
A MS or M.Tech degree is required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. Required Skills
- Strong object-oriented programming skills in C#, Java, or Python.
