Job Overview

Invesco is hiring an Eng. I, Infra Stblty for a full-time infrastructure stability and Network Operations Center support role in Hyderabad. The position focuses on monitoring enterprise infrastructure, identifying alarms and incidents, troubleshooting production issues, supporting critical applications, and coordinating with relevant technology teams.

The role covers a broad infrastructure environment including Windows, Linux and Solaris servers, network devices, communication links, storage systems, and applications. The engineer will also follow operational procedures, maintain documentation, provide shift handovers, and support continuity of production services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor servers across Windows, Linux, and Solaris environments.
  • Monitor network infrastructure including Cisco and Juniper switches, routers, firewalls, WLC, WAP, VPN and UPS equipment.
  • Monitor communication links such as MPLS/GWAN, storage devices from Dell, Hitachi and HP, and enterprise applications.
  • Perform business readiness checks for critical applications and batch jobs, take appropriate action on failures, and report issues when required.
  • Use enterprise monitoring solutions to identify infrastructure alarms, acknowledge alerts, create incidents, and assign tickets to the appropriate support teams.
  • Identify and track production-environment problems, resolve issues when possible, and escalate matters when additional support is required.
  • Provide timely and professional support for production-related calls and emails.
  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders when production services are significantly delayed or affected.
  • Share infrastructure performance reports with relevant support teams for analysis.
  • Triage and troubleshoot infrastructure and IT service issues while following established NOC standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, customer contacts and internal IT teams when required to resolve operational issues.
  • Provide intelligent hands-on support across areas of the Infrastructure Services Group when requested.
  • Monitor system performance and capacity using multiple tools and analyze hardware, software and environmental alerts.
  • Work with relevant teams to determine the cause of identified issues and support resolution through completion.
  • Participate in the creation and ongoing maintenance of documentation used for incident resolution.
  • Provide complete and accurate shift-turnover summaries to maintain continuity between team members.

Technical Skills

  • Windows, Linux and Solaris server environments.
  • Cisco and Juniper network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, WLC, WAP and VPN environments.
  • MPLS/GWAN communication links and enterprise infrastructure monitoring.
  • Storage infrastructure involving Dell, Hitachi and HP devices.
  • Enterprise monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion and SCOM.
  • IT service management using ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and operational support practices.

Work Experience

The position requires 0–1 years of experience in a NOC, L1 support role for applications, or similar technology support environment.

The job description also states that previous experience in a financial services environment and a highly pressured environment is essential. Candidates should have an up-to-date understanding of infrastructure technologies and good technical knowledge of Wintel services.

Work Mode & Location

This is a full-time position based in Hyderabad, Telangana. Invesco's workplace model requires full-time employees to work from their designated office at least three days a week, with two days working outside an Invesco office. Accordingly, the role is classified as hybrid.

Operations & Incident Management

The role is centered on maintaining stable production services through continuous infrastructure monitoring and structured incident handling. Engineers are expected to recognize alerts, create and route incidents, troubleshoot issues where possible, and escalate appropriately.

Strong operational discipline is important because the position involves standard operating procedures, stakeholder communication, vendor coordination, performance reporting, documentation, and detailed shift handovers. The engineer will work with relevant teams until identified infrastructure or service issues are resolved.

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is suitable for candidates with up to one year of experience in NOC, L1 application support, or a similar technology support environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with enterprise infrastructure and monitoring environments and should have technical knowledge of Wintel services.
