Infineon is seeking a Junior Site Reliability Engineer for its Bangalore BTP workplace. This is a permanent, hybrid professional opportunity in the Research & Development job family. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain high-performance computing clusters, supporting system reliability and uptime.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues involving hardware, software, storage, and networking.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash.
• Help deploy, configure, and improve monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Take part in incident management, root cause analysis, and issue resolution activities.
• Work with senior engineers to support HPC users and their computing workloads.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Build knowledge of HPC, cloud infrastructure, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methods through ongoing learning and practical work.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of Linux, including distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
• Familiarity with Python, Bash, C++, or comparable programming and scripting languages.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and DNS.
• Knowledge of system administration concepts.
• Interest in high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate with and learn from senior team members.

Technical Environment

The role spans cluster operations, operating systems, automation, monitoring, and infrastructure support. Familiarity with Linux is important for working with the listed distributions and supporting system administration tasks.
