IBM Hiring L2 Network Engineer in Chennai | Onsite

Job Overview IBM India Private Limited is seeking an experienced L2 Network Engineer for its Infrastructure & Technology team in Chennai. This onsite role focuses on maintaining enterprise networking infrastructure across data center and disaster recovery environments. The selected candidate will monitor network devices, troubleshoot incidents, support infrastructure operations, and work closely with internal teams and service providers to maintain secure and reliable network services. Key Responsibilities - Monitor network devices across DC, DR, and NDR environments. - Troubleshoot network issues and manage support tickets. - Perform configuration updates following standard operating procedures. - Prepare daily health and alert reports. - Assist senior engineers with incident resolution. - Coordinate with data center teams and external service providers. - Maintain network inventory and architecture documentation. - Participate in disaster recovery drills. - Perform basic network cabling and hardware support. Required Skills Candidates should have experience with Cisco and Juniper networking devices, network troubleshooting, IT support, hybrid cloud environments, networking product installation and maintenance, IBM support tools, and basic IT engineering concepts. Preferred Skills Knowledge of IT service management, incident, problem and change management, cloud computing concepts, data analytics, monitoring platforms, and hybrid cloud support will be advantageous. Education Graduate, Post Graduate, Diploma, or Associate's Degree/College Diploma. Experience Applicants should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant networking and infrastructure support experience. Required Technologies Cisco, Juniper, Teradata, Hybrid Cloud, ITSM, Salesforce Cognitive Support Platform, Watson Einstein Analytics, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
