Job Overview

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is looking for a Software Quality Engineer – UI & API Testing to join its Engineering and QA team in Bengaluru. This hybrid role is ideal for software quality professionals with at least two years of experience in UI and API testing, Python automation, and web application validation. You will help ensure the quality of cloud-based software by building automated test suites, executing regression testing, validating releases, and collaborating with engineering and customer success teams. The role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise cloud platforms, automation frameworks, and modern software quality practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Test and validate web-based user interfaces and REST APIs.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python frameworks.
• Execute smoke, regression, staging, and production validation testing.
• Analyze application architecture to improve quality and test coverage.
• Report, track, and verify software defects.
• Maintain test environments, automation pipelines, and QA documentation.
• Work closely with developers and customer success teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Support continuous quality improvements across software releases.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of software testing, Python programming, Selenium, pytest, REST API testing, web application testing, regression testing, debugging, and automation.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Django REST APIs, networking technologies, UI and API troubleshooting, regression test design, and Agile development.

Education

BE, ME, or MS in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Experience
