Job Overview
Airbus India is offering an apprenticeship opportunity in Digital Cybersecurity in Bangalore. The role sits within the Cyber Security department and focuses on digital cyber defense, security research, security development, cloud security, and Security Operations Center support.
The apprenticeship is intended as a 12-month program expected to start in May 2026. The opportunity is designed for fresh technical graduates who want to develop practical cybersecurity capabilities through research, automation, cloud security, detection engineering, and security operations exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to security innovation and research projects focused on emerging cyber defense approaches, security trends, and disruptive technologies.
- Assist in developing and automating security scripts, tools, and workflows to strengthen security capabilities and streamline security operations.
- Support monitoring of global infrastructure as part of cloud and Security Operations Center activities.
- Assist with implementation of security guardrails across multi-cloud environments using AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Explore and evaluate emerging approaches relevant to digital cybersecurity and defensive security.
- Research complex IT vulnerabilities and perform root-cause analysis.
- Prototype innovative security solutions as part of research and development activities.
- Develop an understanding of the integrated security lifecycle from initial design through operational maintenance and defense.
Cybersecurity Skills and Learning Areas
- Develop detection engineering skills by turning threat intelligence into actionable security alerts.
- Gain exposure to cloud security architectures involving CASB, CSPM, and CNAPP.
- Build understanding of security research, vulnerability analysis, root-cause analysis, and security solution prototyping.
- Understand SOC workflows, the Cyber Kill Chain, and common attack vectors.
- Develop awareness of cloud security principles and the shared responsibility model.
Technical Knowledge
- Python – Basic proficiency for security development and automation activities.
- Bash – Basic scripting knowledge for security-related tasks.
- PowerShell – Basic scripting knowledge for security development and automation.
- Linux – Understanding of Linux internals relevant to security analysis.
- Understanding of Windows internals, including processes, registry, and file systems, for security analysis.
- Awareness of cloud security pillars and the shared responsibility model.
- Familiarity with the underlying logic of SIEM, CASB, CNAPP, and CSPM tools.
Eligibility
- Fresh graduate with a technical undergraduate or postgraduate qualification.
- Educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- No prior full-time professional work experience. Internships and academic projects are explicitly accepted and are not counted as professional experience.
- Ability to commit to the complete 12-month apprenticeship.
- Fluent English language skills.
